TRANSPORTER,

MERCY & ST. JOSEPH'S HOSPITALS

"My job was a runner/dondoff at St. Joes. Bringing supplies to the staff in red zones because they couldn't just leave in full PPE. I would already know the patient passed away. When I was done donning and doffing the family I would then use my hands to go get the morgue cart to transport the body. Many times the morgue was already full and would have to wait for more space to free up. There were nights when we would do five discharges on each unit. By 11PM, we could have 15 new patients."
